Here is a page chock full of information about my weight loss history! Enjoy!

When I decided to move to Korea I knew it was definitely time for some big changes; starting with my body.  January 2010 my ridiculous body weighed in at 284 lbs.  KILL MYSELF

Initially I began my journey with HCG.  If you haven't heard of it, then google it and find all of the awesome/awful results that will come up.  Almost 100% of people who take hcg do nothing but sing it's praises, its everyone else that has something to say.  Neither here nor there though.  I lost my first 35 pounds using hcg and not only did I keep it off, I lost even more weight, bringing me to about 235 when I moved to South Korea in June 2010.  #Score. I left Korea weighing in at 220.

When I left Korea and moved to England with my boyfriend in June 2011, I did another round of Hcg to try to finally get under 200 and I succeeded, finishing at 186.  BUT! Then life happened.  Two weeks after I arrived, my boyfriend had a random deployment and I was all alone in an unfamiliar country with no friends.  I decided to go home after having been gone for over a year...and we all know what happens when you go home.  I went back to the states on September 1st, 2011, my birthday, and there was a party waiting for me when I got back home.  Add a Black mother and a Jamaican father who can throw down in the kitchen and BOOM!  plus 5 pounds in my two week visit.  Once I returned to England we decided to take a trip to Spain, where I had the best food I have ever put into my mouth... AND WE GOT ENGAGED!!!!  BOOM! 10 more pounds in a 2 week vacation.  Then came Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Can you see the pattern here?

In the interim, I tried so hard to get my weight back under 200 but in the 2 years since then I haven't been able to pull it off.  This is why I decided to do Hcg one more time. Now I'm back under 200 and recharged to get to my goal of 165. I like to think of it as a kick start.  Some people take supplements, some people cleanse; it really just depends on your personal preference.  I know what works for me.Now I don't want to take away from the fact that I work out ridiculously.  At one point I was even going twice a day.  You can find my favorite workouts and plans under the WORK IT OUT tab.

For the past 3 years I have been actively trying to change my body and my habits.  I say "actively" because so many people "want to lose weight and get in shape" and they complain about it but do nothing to get there.  Those people are my pet peeves.  It's ok to fall off the wagon from time to time, as long as you get back on.  Now, with the impending move back to the states in March 2014, I am pushing extra hard to get to accomplish these goals.

My Goals For March 2013 to March 2014:
  • Be a size 8 (my hips might keep me at a 10 though)
  • 165
  • Tone and define my arms and legs (Trying to get like Michelle Obama)
  • FLAT STOMACH (God I want this one)
  • Sexy back
  • Dedicate to a Paleo diet 95% of the time.
  • 2 piece bathing suit!! I need it!
  • Read consistently

Things I Can't Live Without:
  • Bike- I love the bike and I love spin class!
  • A mostly PALEO diet-  You can find more information about paleo here.  Up until now, I've been trying to keep carbs in my life.  The truth?  We don't get a long.  Definitely time to put an end to it and this is the way.  Hey, anything that can keep me eating bacon on a regular basis is great for me!  95% I will stick to this.
  • Cheat meals- Its ok indulge in something every once in a while. My particular favorites are chocoalte chip cookies, pizza and french fries.
  • Tea- Must.Have.Tea.  I even want a tea/coffee shop eventually.  Green tea is so good for you!
  • A plan- If I don't have a specific plan in mind I will fail.  "Eat Healthy" is an EPIC FAIL to me.  I need details and plans all the time.
  • The Word "NO"-- Learning to say no to food is not nearly as hard as saying no to friends.  "Lets go out" "Lets do shots".  JUST SAY NO!
  • My Ipad- I live on that thing.  Pathetic is what it is.  But I use MyFitnessPal, and a few other apps to document my progress.
  •  Knowledge of TOM (Time of the Month)-  Most women know when their periods are coming but I even go so far as to pay attention to the days where I am most likely to retain water; up to 4 days before it even gets here.  The scale starts doing stupid things (like going up 7 lbs...are you serious?) and I can't count those in results.
  • Almonds- I love those suckers.  But you have to be careful because even though its good fat, too much will kick your butt.
  • Pinterest- Click the link...DO IT...IT'S MY OBSESSION!
