I have been off the radar for a while but I'm back. Sitting here watching youtube makeup videos to see what I'm missing out on in the flyness world. We have had quite a few things happening during the past week. Here is a quick run down before the deliciousness that is Mounds Oatmeal:
Our anniversary was July 3rd! 5 years down and the rest of our lives to go! We had a dinner at home, we wrote vows since we had a courthouse wedding, and we just enjoyed each others company. The next day we went and saw 2 movies in Cambridge. Sounds like a great weekend to me!
Friday was family day on base and I got to ride in a helicopter. It was pretty awesome and it was generally just nice to be around TheHubby's workplace for a while. We aren't allowed back here on the flight line on normal days. Later that night we went to dinner with some friends for a birthday. It was nice to get dressed and put on some heels but the birthday girl was a little boring to me. I hear she is much more fun when she's drunk but since we didn't go to the club with them after, I didn't get to see that part. Everyone else was fun though, Go Figure! All in all it was a pretty nice day. We came home and played video games and got pretty tipsy lol.

Saturday was freaking FABO! We went to Bury to volunteer for crowd control while the olympic torch came through. It felt epic seeing the real thing run right past us. Even if we did have on ugly bright as hell jackets! I like the Olympics, especially the gymnastics!
ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND none of these things would have been possible without my favorite start to the day... OATMEAL!!
Eggs do the deed as well, but when it comes down to it, Oatmeal makes me the most happy! This oatmeal has a delicious chocolatey taste and the coconut mixed with banana makes it like a flavor explosion in your mouth. I used milk chocolate but I'm sure it would be healthier if you used dark
Mounds Oatmeal
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup almond milk (or more if you like it creamy)
1 Tbsp chocolate chips
1 Tbsp shredded coconut
1/2 banana
1 Tsp vanilla
1 Tsp cinnamon
1 packet Stevia
Bring milk to a boil then add oatmeal, cinnamon, vanilla, and stevia.
In a bowl, add 1/2 of the banana, chocolate chips, and the coconut and save the rest for the top.
Once oatmeal finishes, add the remaining tidbits to the top and serve.
What is your favorite part of the Olympics?
